It's never occurred to me to love anyone differently due to the color of their skin.
But then, no matter how I feel, I'm left with the task of teaching my children about the history of the United States of America.
It's my responsibility to explain why African Americans are treated so poorly after recounting all of the horrific details of the suffering they've endured and still endure today.
Thankfully, I've found a great way to achieve balance after teaching about all negative stuff.
I can teach my children about Kwanzaa!
Kwanzaa is such an incredible way to celebrate the past, present, and future of African American culture during the holiday season.
The principles and symbols associated with this holiday are fabulous for everyone!
